Your dentist will introduce herself and chat with you about your history, goals, and any concerns. We then complete a full examination which may include photos and X-rays when clinically appropriate. If we find anything that needs attention, we will explain what we can see and talk through your options so you can make an informed decision about next steps.
Your clean is performed using our advanced EMS Airflow system, which is designed for gentle, yet superior, removal of plaque, biofilm, and surface stains. We aim to keep your appointment comfortable, and our rooms include calming touches like music and a television so you can watch a show during your visit.
Elevating Our Preventative Care
To ensure you continue to receive high-quality care and greater Saturday availability, routine cleans and preventative care are now provided by our Oral Health Therapist on Saturdays, working alongside our dentists as part of a collaborative care model.
We’ve recently welcomed Chloe Harrison into her new role as Oral Health Therapist (OHT). Many patients already know her as a familiar, friendly face. She has been part of the Serene Smiles Perth team since the beginning, and she now brings additional advanced training focused on oral health and gum support.
These appointments are designed to help you stay on track with home care, monitor gum health over time, and keep your smile feeling fresh. Depending on what you need on the day, your visit may include a gum health check, a professional clean using our gentle EMS Airflow system, personalised oral hygiene coaching, and preventative services such as fluoride application or fissure sealants where clinically appropriate.
